Respite Director Tony Bown

Hello all,

I am very excited to be a part your Easter Seals of Wisconsin family. Wisconsin Elks/Respite Camp has been providing wonderful services to its community, campers, families, and caregivers for over 20 years. I am thrilled to be a part of providing this great service; we all know camp is a very special place for families, caregivers, and staff. Above all, it is a special and incredibly important place for our campers.   

I have been a part of the professional camping world for 12 years, and have worked exclusively with special needs populations. My wife and I met through camp many years ago, where she was the camp nurse and I was in charge of special programs. Our combined love of camping with special needs populations led us to Wisconsin, and we couldn't be happier to be here.

My camping experiences have helped me focus on reducing barriers and increasing independence, with an added emphasis on maximizing abilities, not disabilities. I feel fortunate to be a part of the rich and long-standing traditions with Easter Seals Wisconsin Camps, and I'm excited about learning and growing as a camping professional with this organization.  

I look forward to getting to know you all, and to be a part of your camp experience here at Wisconsin Elks/Respite Camp in the coming year.
